Transferring a Domain Name
If you registered your domain through a third party and now intend to host the domain with us, you need to transfer it. This is done by changing the name servers assigned to the domain. If we registered your domain for you as part of your hosting order, it will be setup correctly automatically and you can ignore the content of this article.

When you registered the domain, the company that registered it for you (which is called the registrar) will typically provide you with a Web site, user name, and password to manage the domain. To transfer the domain, you must login to this area, and change the name servers assigned to your domain to:

Primary Name Server: ns1.hostingglobe.com
Primary IP Address: 66.246.65.107
Secondary Name Server: ns2.hostingglobe.com
Secondary IP Address: 66.246.65.108

Please note that some registrars only require you to enter the primary and secondary name servers; the primary and secondary IP addresses may not be required. If the area provided by the registrar to manage your domain does not include a place to enter the IP addresses, this information is not needed. Please note, however, that no other name servers should be listed for the domain. If your domain has existing name servers when you access it to make this change, you must remove those name servers and replace them with the name servers listed above.

If you are unsure how to make these modifications, please contact your registrar for assistance, or provide us with the information that your registrar gave you to manage the domain, and we can make the necessary changes for you.

After the domain settings have been modified, the effect will not be immediate. The change must propagate to other servers around the Internet. This process typically takes 24-72 hours. When you can access your Web Hosting Control Panel at http://yourdomain.com/cpanel (where yourdomain.com is replaced by your actual domain name), you will know that the transfer is complete.
